Great Minds… Or Something Akin

wilwheatonEarlier today, loyal FMDY reader, “K”, sent me a link to Wil Wheaton’s site. Since I was at work, I could only say, “Thanks, I’ll look at it when I get home.” Imagine my surprise when I finally get home and open the link to see the same analogy I used of being in my head compared to baseball. If you really can’t be bothered to click the link, I’ll explain that he couches his comparison to a position player rather than a particular at-plate event. Either way, it’s encouraging to see an example of a kindred soul experiencing the same dilemma as me. Clearly, the scale of the performance or venue doesn’t matter as this can happen regardless of whether you’re playing to dozens, hundreds, thousands, or millions.

Since he mentioned in his own comments section that he has yet to find a cure to combat this “being in your head” situation, I left a comment offering what seems to work for me (and some of my fellow Tantrum performers). If my suggestion works for him, that’s fantastic. If not, then I hope he can find something else that does.

Note to self: Clear more time in your schedule for more Tantrum performances. You’ll thank yourself later.
