Music Mondays: Foo Fighters

Hello loyal reader/listener and welcome back to Music Mondays. This week we’re checking out Foo Fighters’ new EP, Saint Cecilia. This five song EP clocks in at only 18 minutes, but what do you want for free? Yes, I said free to download from the Saint Cecilia site (click the link and check out the letter from Dave at the bottom), Google Play, Amazon Prime, iTunes, or wherever fine music is sold downloaded. Why the pre-Thanksgiving love? The Foos wanted to give thanks to their fans. It’s also dedicated to the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks.

Now for the difficult part of this post. How is it? Honestly, I spent so much time loving everything from Sonic Highways that I’ve almost forgotten what their music was like beforehand. This EP reminds me of their older music a lot as I can see every one of these songs fitting nicely on albums like Wasting Light; Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace; In Your Honor, There Is Nothing Left to Lose, and The Colour and the Shape. Is it good? I think so, but that will depend on which of their albums you like. You tell me, does something strike a chord in you? Yeah, pun intended.

Have something to add?
