EDIT: It turns out I misunderstood what kind of event this is. I believed it was a benefit show (like all the others I’ve done), but I’m being told it’s more for the Gilda’s Club staff and the families they’ve helped. We’ll still be performing, but it’s not open to the public. So, if you’ve been helped by Gilda’s Club and are still reading this, thanks by the way, we’ll see you next week. If you haven’t been helped, my apologies for wasting your time. Feel free to continue reading if you have more time to kill.

It’s been just over a year since I’ve taken the stage with my Tantrum cast mates in the Underground Throwdown. It’s been even longer since I’ve been able to do a Gilda’s Club benefit show. Tantrum performed last year (possibly even the year before), but work prevented me from performing. This fact saddens me more than you know. At least half of Tantrum would join me for trips back to the Quad Cities to preform in their annual Gilda’s Club benefit shows. If memory serves, that lasted well over five years and was bordering on becoming tradition.

Then it stopped.

I never heard whether the Gilda’s Club chapter of the Q.C.’s stopped scheduling the annual event, if they simply asked someone other than ComedySportz QC to perform, or if whatever “star power” (yeah, it’s hard to say that with a straight face) Tantrum had was no longer needed. Regardless, I’m happy to be back on stage again with my wonderful improv friends.

Don’t remember who Tantrum is? Here’s something from the wayback machine.
