This post is going to be short & sweet since I’ve been out in the sun all day and I’m suddenly drained.
Welcome to the Scottish Highlands. Er, I mean King Creosote’s latest album, Astronaut Meets Appleman. Blending bagpipes, harps, guitars, and synths, King Creosote creates an auditory tour of Scotland’s countryside. Through his arrangements and lyrics one can easily envision traipsing across the moors or huddling by a hearth on a damp evening in a quaint, country pub. If you think this will all be traditional Scottish folk-style music, King Creosote (AKA Kenny Anderson) drops an infectious little ear worm like Peter Rabbit Tea that features a sample of his youngest daughter. Check it out and let me know what you think.
As usual, here’s the Spotify in case YouTube fails to maintain this album.
